You met his gaze, then watched how his eyes flickered from your face down to your body, before he captured your lips into a kiss. Knowing he had won, Christian released a confident grin and swirled you around. “I’ll get late to work,” you mumbled under your breath, not sounding very convincing. In response you closed your legs and grabbed his hand, stopping him from moving any further. He slowly and teasingly slid his hand underneath the towel you had wrapped around your body. No, instead Christian took it as a challenge. Biting down on your bottom lip, you tried your best to suppress a moan. Having dated him for such a long time, he sure knew all of your weak spots. His soft lips pressed against your skin sent shivers down your spine. You took a deep breath and let your eyelids fall close, enjoying the sensation he was making you feel. He pushed you against his bare chest as he left a trail of wet kisses along your shoulder. He stepped closer to you, tangling his long arms around your waist. “Why would I be? In the end you’re here with me, not him.” “Don’t tell me you’re jealous,” you decided to counter-attack since it didn’t seem as though Christian would stop any time soon. “Well, he called you at least seven times in the last fifteen minutes,” he chuckled at you, the smug smirk still planted across his face. You pulled your phone from his hand and took it into your possession. You were used to his teasing and the best way to deal with it was not to engage. “None of your business,” you rolled your eyes and walked over to him. You could see the teasing smirk on his face as he wriggled his eyebrows suggestively. “Who is Alex?” Christian asked you the moment you came out of the shower. “I’m sure that won’t happen, but ok,” you agreed with a nod of your head and a little chuckle. “Just wanna make sure you didn’t get flushed away by the rain,” he quickly added in a playful manner. “Text me when you get home,” he then said, gaining a weird look from you again. I’ll just take a cab,” you smiled at him and grabbed your bag. You weren’t a couple anymore, there was no need for him to care for you any longer. The moment you decided to have a sexual relationship with him, it was all business, no feelings, no emotions. He remembered all the little things about you. He knew what you needed, before you even voiced it. It was one of the reasons you fell for him in the first place. He cared about you a lot and he made sure to show you when you two were still dating. “I’ve always cared about you, you know that,” he replied matter-of-factly. No, you two weren’t in that kind of relationship. “Don’t tell me you’re suddenly worried about me?” You laughed at him. You quirked up your brows at him, your eyes widening in surprise. “Right,” he let out a brief chuckle, his eyes never leaving yours. It was one of the rules you two had set up to make sure this wouldn’t turn into a second attempt of a failed relationship. You shook your head decisively, turning down his offer. You unconsciously bit your lips at the sight of it which made him smirk with confidence. “It’s pouring outside,” he slowly sat up on his bed and the cover on top of him slid down revealing his perfectly sculptured torso. You tied your hair into a messy ponytail and quickly scanned his room with your eyes to make sure that you hadn’t forgotten anything. ![]() “Mhm,” you hummed while putting your pants on without looking at him. Was is regretfulness? Or was he just incredibly exhausted? There was something different about his tone this time around. “You’re leaving?” He asked you tiredly as he slowly lifted his head, his eyes following every of your movements. ![]() Yes, patience was definitely not Christian’s strong suit and if were up to him he would have torn your entire shirt apart. Rolling your eyes, you chuckled to yourself. That’s when you realized one of the buttons were missing. You took a brief look at your reflection in the mirror and buttoned it up diligently. You bent down and picked up your shirt that was lying on the ground, sliding your arms inside the sleeves. ![]() But no matter what your reasons, sex with the ex was a recipe for disaster. It was an ego boost and lots of fun at the same time. ![]() You didn’t have to try to impress him or go through awkward first dates, yet your cravings were still satisfied. Your firm conviction was the reason why you let yourself fall back into patterns with an ex well, only the physical part of it. After all the relationship had come to an end for a reason. It wouldn’t work out, not even in a million years. You two had different goals, different aspirations and different expectations. If there was one thing you were sure about, it was that you would never get back together with him.
